Shin vs Tanabata! Will Sakamoto Wake Up Soon? Sakamoto Days Chapter 239 Spoilers!
Four exciting battles take place for the sake of Japan and Taro Sakamoto, who looks like he is about to awaken.
In the previous Sakamoto Days chapter, Shin reunites with Amane and Toramaru while Shishiba and Osaragi fight against Gozu and Order.
Days 239 is titled, “The Fuse is Lit”
This chapter has 15 pages.
The chapter begins where we left off with Shin conversing with Amane and Toramaru, who explain to Shin that the JCC is not safe because of the Saionji siblings and that the Seba brothers are defending the place as they speak.
The pair tell Shin to get Sakamoto and Aoi to the chopper.
Standing atop a building, Gozu overhears their conversation and prepares to reach for Shin and Sakamoto but Shishiba kicks Gozu to a building.
Shishiba tells Shin to get Sakamoto out as it is annoying to have people nagging around him.
Toramaru is delighted to see Hana, Sakamoto’s daughter, and Hana also greets Amane.
A group of JAA assassins appear, with one carrying a bazooka to take down the chopper.
Boiled and Wutang come to the rescue, telling Shin to leave the thugs to them and to go on ahead with the Sakamoto family.
Boiled also tells Shin to impart a message to Sakamoto when he wakes up, that his “number one best pal” Boiled did him a favor but the helicopter is so loud that Shin could not hear anything.
Shin tries to get to speed on the situation, with Amane noting that he and Toramaru were able to leave the JCC thanks to the Sebas.
Suddenly, Shin senses Tanabata’s attack, in the form of a gun formed from the end of his guitar.
Shin decides to take on Tanabata, saying that he will not be able to see Sakamoto wake up as he has to deal with the enemy.
Shin leaps off the chopper and blocks Tanabata’s shot with a crowbar.
We return to Oki’s fight against Nagumo that we left off in Chapter 223: “Conceited”, where Oki hears things getting noisy around the city.
Nagumo teases Oki to get more excited since this already feels like a proper war against Order, which annoys Oki.
The chapter ends with the panels showing us the other fights to follow:
Gozu vs Shishiba
Kippei Saionji vs the Seba brothers
Tanabata vs Shin
All the while, Aoi begs for Sakamoto to wake up and we hear a faint heartbeat, hinting at Sakamoto’s eventual return even before a proper operation.
Sakamoto Days Chapter 240 will be released on December 8, 2025.
