Did Roger and Gaban Learn How To Stop Imu’s Immortality from ROCKS? One Piece Chapter 1162 Additional Spoilers!
We get more details on how the encounter between Imu and Rocks went.

One Piece Chapter 1162 shows three major fights: the clash between Garling and the Davy Clan demons and Rocks, which ended as a one-sided match, Big Mom’s humiliating betrayal at the hands of Kaido and the chapter ending with Imu fighting against Rocks and his strongest fellows, Whitebeard and Kaido.
Additional details reveal a few things.
First, we see Rocks encounter Imu possessing the Elder Jaygarcia Saturn.
Here, he declares that this is the “world itself”, signifying that Imu is not just a being but a force of nature in itself, potentially hinting towards Imu as either the inversion of the sea or the Mother Sea (Umi”) herself.
This line was used by Van Augur in front of the Elder 38 years later during the Egghead Arc, where he stated that Blackbeard’s goal is “the world”.
Most importantly, we learn that Rocks’ attacks on the Five Elders causes their regeneration to slow down.
This makes you wonder if Rocks’ swordsmanship is a unique style or that how he has always fought was actually based on his previous encounters with the Holy Knights.
Unless the story states that Rocks had a natural talent for this type of immortality-cancelling Conqueror’s Haki that is.
This leads to the question of whether or not Gaban and the other Roger Pirates learned how to fight like this because of Rocks and the God Valley Incident.
Rayleigh was shown to have overwhelmed Sommers in the last chapter with Higanbana but this was not shown in any way to be an Infusion technique, only that it took the Holy Knight by surprise as he could not withstand the attack and was blown away.
We will find out eventually.
One Piece Chapter 1163 will be released on October 27, 2025.
