Sukuna’s Reincarnation REAWAKENS! Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo Chapter 5 Spoilers!

In the previous Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo chapter, Tsurugi comes face-to-face with a shapeshifting Curse User, who has taken on the guise of a grade schooler.

Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo Chapter 5 is titled, “Old Age”.

This chapter has 19 pages.

The chapter begins with a flashback of a busy mother hearing her son’s cries for her and then witnessing her son awaken his Jujutsu abilities, with liquids floating out of a glass.

We cut to the present with Maru collapsing, where we left off last chapter.

Here we see the true form of the Curse User who called himself Masayoshi, who uses a Cursed technique involving his female Shikigami’s threads and a giant needle Cursed Tool.

As Tsurugi swings his sword, he finds himself rolled to the side of the Shikigami, who uses the spool of thread to drag Tsurugi to her.

Seeing how the old man’s technique involved sewing, Tsurugi asks him why he did not use his Cursed Technique to help others but the Curse User calls Tsurugi naive, saying that people are bound to kill each other.

Yet he is always surprised to see people continually clinging to their ideals, like Maru did.

In a flashback, we see Masayoshi with his father as he expresses his desire to live forever as a child, in stark contrast to his malice and cynicism about innocent life.

In the present, the shikigami repairs his child form and Tsurugi attacks, no longer hesitating after hearing the Curse User’s wickedness.

Tsurugi remarks that this incident has been caused by an old man in cognitive decline, trying to relive his childhood.

The old man prepares to attack, saying he will teach the young man how to keep his sanity intact.

Tsurugi plants his sword down, activating Simple Domain but with a twist as we see multiple circles behind him connecting to his spot.

Simple Domain: Ma-ai.

Using what little Cursed Energy he has, he manages to master the domain of the weak.

It seems the New Shadow School’s head, Grade 1 Sorcerer Atsuya Kusakabe, must have taught him this new usage.

Those circles essentially boost Tsurugi’s enhanced senses courtesy of his Heavenly Restriction exchanging his Cursed Energy with physical prowess.

This usage allows Tsurugi to counter both Masayoshi and the shikigami’s attacks, managing to push back the old man.

The Curse User watches as Tsurugi uses Curtain to cover the whole area and trap the Curse User.

Yuka arrives to assist, striking the Curse User from behind.

While Tsurugi says this job has become training if he needs help from his sister, Yuka reminds him to focus on the Curse User’s transformations.

Together, the two manage to seemingly take down the Curse User, who remarks that Yuka’s attacks piles her damage into one blow.

That is until Yuka is stabbed from behind and when Tsurugi tries to respond, he is also taken down.

The Curse User emerges, revealing that he had a dummy version of himself that he kept within his Shikigami, having used human skin from his victims as material.

As the old man prepares to leave to kill more people, the entire area is covered in some pressure as the unconscious Maru causes everything in the area to levitate.

The chapter ends as Maru’s third eye opens, with a hint that Maru is about to unleash his true power.
