Sakamoto Days Unveils Live-Action Preview
Sakamoto Days unveils its live-action trailer, featuring Ren Meguro playing both forms of Taro Sakamoto.
On September 23, 2025, we saw a 30 second trailer for the Sakamoto Days live-action.
The movie will star Snow Man member and actor Ren Meguro (Mr. Osomatsu, My Happy Marriage) and will be directed by Yuichi Fukuda (Under Ninja, Kyo Kara Ore Wa!!, Saint Oniisan)
Ren Meguro is playing both versions of Taro Sakamoto, and the “shopkeeper” look took around 4 hours of special makeup per shoot day to build the 140 kg body type.
The movie is set for Golden Week 2026 in Japan.
The team for this movie is also behind the live-action adaptations of Gintama and Today’s Kira-kun.
Furthermore, the director has confirmed that they have already finished filming even before adding in the CG and music.
