Vinland Saga’s Final Volume in Full Color
The colored version of Vinland Saga’s final volume is here. Will there be any added content within its pages?
On September 7, 2025, we got our first look at the colored, final version of Vinland Saga’s final Volume 29, set for release
Previously, we had a black and white preview of the cover last August 25 featuring a mature, recovering Thorfinn in a field of arrows and Ivar’s sword from a distance.
This represents the sword being discarded by Thorfinn but also the sword within reach, a temptation towards violence for anyone, which aligns with the open-ended conclusion for the story in the final chapter.

Vinland Saga was written and illustrated by Makoto Yukimura in April 13, 2005 for Kodansha, first in Weekly Shōnen Magazine before moving to Monthly Afternoon, with a total of 29 volumes.
By August 2022, Vinland Saga had over 7 million copies in circulation.
Vinland Saga is a historical fiction story of Thorfinn Karlsefni, who develops from a ruthless Viking warrior who seeks revenge for his father Thors to a pacifist explorer as he and his people make their way through the New World of Vinland.
