MONKEY D. DRAGON IS THE MVP OF ONE PIECE! ONE PIECE CHAPTER 1160 EARLY SPOILERS!

In the previous One Piece chapter, we learn of how the God Valley Incident began, of Shakky’s kidnapping, the death of Shanks’ mother and Rocks’ real name.

One Piece Chapter 1160 is titled, “The God Valley Incident”.

It is finally here!

Now on Volume 42 of the Oni Child Yamato’s Golden Harvest Surrogate Pilgrimage, we see Yamato visit Oden’s shrine. 

The Buccaneer Lineage Explained

This chapter reveals that the Davy family are Buccaneers. 

This means Marshall D. Teach and Bartholomew Kuma are relatives.

This explains why Kuma’s family worships Sun God Nika and the Davy Family is the missing link to the entire D Clan puzzle.

This explains why the Buccaneers were a condemned race: because of Davy D. Jones.

But with one family sharing this lineage, this leads to a lot of interesting questions and possibilities.

If Davy D. Jones was Joy Boy, it all adds up since Joy Boy is the first Pirate and while not a Giant, he seemed large in stature even when standing next to the Iron Giant Emet.

And the name itself, buccaneer, refers to pirates from the Caribbean, a key source for the legend of Davy Jones or possibly even the biology of the Buccaneers.

It has been established throughout the story that Marshall D. Teach had a unique body.

This was expressed in the strongest terms when Blackbeard acquired Whitebeard’s Gura Gura no Mi and was the first and only known person to eat two Devil Fruits without dying and even gaining both powers.

However the term “unique body” was used for another character, Bartholomew Kuma, due to his unique lineage as a Buccaneer being the reason why the kill switch that was used on him did not work.

In Chapter 1139: “Mountain Eater”, Gaban revealed that the buccaneers were a mixed race but were not actually half-human, half-Giants, even when they had Giant’s Blood.

It is entirely possible that the Buccaneers had more than two or even three lines, which could result in a mutation.

Perhaps, as the inspiration from Davy Jones suggests, they could part Fishman, specifically of the octopus variety like Hatchan (who ironically cooks takoyaki, which is made from octopus) and this could explain Blackbeard’s condition of being able to acquire

And keep in mind that Fishmen do not usually end up as Devil Fruit users, especially those who live on Fishman Island as they would suffer the curse of the sea, such as Vander Decken IX, a Japanese bullhead shark Fishman, who had to wear a resin bubble each time he was within the depths and Jack, a giant grouper Fishman, who stays on land and has the Zou Zou no Mi, Model: Mammoth, a land mammal.

Like Father, Like Son

Blackbeard’s mother appears for the first time with him and we see that in contrast to Shakky, a prize for the Tournament, she is messy. 

Meanwhile, Shanks and Shamrock’s mother asks Dragon to take care of her children’s future. 

Isn’t it fitting that Dragon would save the man who started the One Piece journey for his future son Luffy?

The Celestial Dragons start the hunting game but Dragon shoots one Celestial Dragon to protect Kuma. 

Isn’t it fitting that Dragon would also save the man who preserved the One Piece journey for his future son Luffy?

Kuma would also become Dragon’s friend in the Revolutionary Army, with that connection being the reason why Kuma ensured Luffy and the Straw Hats were saved from Kizaru and able to train.

The chapter has some redraws from Chapter 1096, featuring the Rocks Pirates, Roger Pirates, and Garp’s arrival to God Valley. 

All God Knights are introduced in the chapter; a new one looks like a yeti with horns. 

At the end of the chapter, Dragon saves Shamrock and Shanks but how exactly does Shanks end up in a Devil Fruit chest while Shamrock stayed with Garling.

This could set up another point where Dragon clashes with a Celestial Dragon, this time with the Supreme Commander of God’s Knights himself.
