On September 4, 2025, it was revealed that Mojuro, the new manga written by Jujutsu Kaisen author, Gege Akutami, is actually a spinoff to the Jujutsu Kaisen manga that ended on September 30, 2024.

It has also been confirmed that Mojuro will be up for 3 volumes, meaning the serialization will last above 6 months and potentially around 27-30 weekly chapters.

In addition, there will be a Jujutsu Kaisen spinoff novel written by Yumeaki Hirayama, a horror novelist whose depictions in his novels, particularly “The Diner”, were based on seeing a number of suicide jumpers and car accidents in adolescence.

This will mean that the expanded Jujutsu Kaisen will lean into darker territory than even the original did.
