Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc Reveals Ending Theme
Along with a theme song, the Chainsaw Man movie comes with an ending theme, Jane Doe.
On August 13, 2025, a 30-second teaser clip announces the ending theme for Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc titled, “Jane Doe” by Hikaru Utada and Kenshi Yonezu, who also does the theme song of the movie, Iris Out, and the opening, Kick Back for Season 1 of the anime.
Jane was the name used in Chapter 43: “Jane Fell Asleep in the Church”, where she says the poem about her date with Jane.
“The day of my date with Jane, everything’s ready. In the morning we will go to the church. We’ll drink coffee and eat omelettes in a cafe. Once we had our walk in the park, we’ll go to the aquarium and see dolphins and penguins whom Jane likes so much. After lunch we’ll have a break. So, what have we done this morning. We wont talk about it until we remember. We wont remember. And at night we will sleep in the church. “
The term “Jane Doe” refers to a placeholder name for when the true name of a person is unknown or is being intentionally concealed
“Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc” will be released in Japanese theaters on September 19, 2025, with international release dates starting from September 24 in Asia and October 29, 2025 for the rest of the world.

Chainsaw Man is the hit manga written and illustrated by Tatsuki Fujimoto, who previous authored Fire Punch (2016-2018) and has done multiple one-shot manga throughout his career, including Look Back, which received a highly-acclaimed anime movie adaptation in June 2024.
Published in December 3, 2018, Chainsaw Man began serialization at Weekly Shonen Jump before moving to the Shonen Jump Plus app and website for Part 2 on July 13, 2022.
Chainsaw Man is a manga divided into two parts or sagas, Part 1 that was released from December 3, 2018 to December 14, 2020 while Part 2 began in July 13, 2022 and is still ongoing.
Chainsaw Man tells the story of Denji, an impoverished youth, who gains the powers of a devil and becomes Chainsaw Man, the target of many devils who seek his heart.
As of July 4, 2025, the manga has reached a total of 21 volumes and sold a total of 30 million copies.
