On July 18, 2025, Smoking Behind the Supermarket With You is getting an anime adaptation.

Ever since winning the Next Manga Award in the Web category in 2022 , fans have been anticipating the announcement of an anime adaptation for the series.
Released on March 9, 2022, Smoking Behind the Supermarket With You is the story of an overworked middle-aged office worker, Sasaki, who comes across a mysterious delinquent woman named Tayama as the two smoke behind Sasaki’s favorite supermarket, not realizing she is actually his favorite cashier, the cheery Yamada.
As of writing, Smoking Behind the Supermarket With You has 50 chapters, usually released monthly on Square Enix’s Monthly Big Gangan
