On June 28, 2025, we witness the first main trailer of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Infinity Castle in both Japanese and English dub.

This begins with narration from Sakonji Urokodaki, who kept thinking about the “final phase” as he awaits the end of the long battle with the demons.

We see a gorgeous cut of Himejima in slow-motion bursting through the castle walls as light peers from behind, as well as the other Hashira facing a horde of demons.

We then cut to Doma declaring it is a wonderful night with a glimpse of what appears to be the Insect Hashira Shinobu Kocho’s butterfly hair ornament stuck on his body, a grisly scene manga readers remember.

This is followed by his fight with Shinobu while we have a brief glimpse of Upper Moon Rank Six Kaigaku, who faces an angry Zenitsu.

Within the end of the trailer itself, we see a brilliant key visual featuring Upper Moon Rank Three Akaza, with his right eye reflecting his opponent, the protagonist Tanjiro Kamado.

With the KV on this fight, we can assume the battle against Akaza is the highlight of the movie.

While fans were excited for the movie, these trailers have barely given anything exciting outside of knowing what is to come and a few good-looking frames and cuts of animation.

Aimer and Lisa return to the series with new theme songs: “A World Where the Sun Never Rises” by Aimer and “Shine in the Cruel Night” by LiSA, with titles evoking the despair the first movie is meant to set up.

Aimer has worked on the third opening, “Zankyosanka” and the third ending, “Asa ga Kuru”, which was in Season 2 for the Entertainment District Arc.

Meanwhile, LiSA was responsible for the first opening, “Gurenge”, “From the Edge”, the first ending theme together with FictionJunction, “Homura”, the Mugen Train movie theme song, the second opening, “Akeboshi” for the episodic version of the Mugen Train movie, and “Shirogane”, the second ending song that played for Season 2 during the episodic version of the Mugen Train movie.

The movie will premiere on July 18, 2025 in Japanese theaters and will begin releasing internationally on August 14, starting in Southeast Asia.
