SAKAMOTO DAYS © 2020 by Yuto Suzuki/SHUEISHA Inc.

In the previous Sakamoto Days chapter, Sakamoto arrives in time to save Shin from Kei Uzuki.

Day 218 is titled, “Quit Acting Cool”

This chapter has 19 pages.

Editor’s note: “Sakamoto arrives to help Shin in his time of crisis!! Another showdown with Slur’s gang!!”

The chapter begins where we left off as Sakamoto confronts Uzuki over his attack on Shin.

Sakamoto tells Shin to leave this to him but his hand is still trembling, which Shin notices immediately.

Torres intends to leave but Uzuki orders his gang to kill Sakamoto.

Shin intends to fight but Sakamot punches him in the gut to throw him out a window and he also throws Akari out too.

Gozu attempts to pursue Shin but Sakamoto throws a grenade, leading to a fire announcement and causing all exits and windows to be closed off.

Sakamoto thought of everything.

Gozu attacks Sakamoto but the latter grabs him and electrocutes him but he is surprised that Sakamoto is able to withstand this voltage.

From the other side, Shin hears Sakamoto tell him that he entrusts Aoi and the rest to him.

Torres fires his sandblaster, hitting Sakamoto’s right shoulder.

Jumping down, Tanabata plays his guitar while Kumanomi launches more projectiles at Sakamoto.

Shin says the chapter title here, that Sakamoto is acting cool even when he cannot really fight and that will cost him his life here.

Shin runs away and Atari goes after him.

Meanwhile, we cut to Boiled, who, with Heisuke, Asakura, Kindaka and Yotsumura, survived the attack on the Sky Tower in Chapter 213: “Resistance”, thanks to falling in the river.

Shin catches up to them and is relieved but does not want to ask for their help as they are also exhausted from the fighting.

Shin worries that they will die if they keep fighting.

Suddenly, Heisuke rises, asking where Sakamoto is.

Kindaka and Boiled all decide to help Sakamoto immediately, knowing that he is out there rushing towards things.

Shin is surprised that they knew but Heisuke says that it is written all over his face, meaning they do not need telepathy to read Shin’s mind.

Heisuke tells Shin to stop thinking of everything on his own and reminds him that he is also an idiot.

Actually insightful reminder for all anime protagonists.

Heisuke reminds Shin to talk to them first before jumping to the wrong conclusions.

Meanwhile, Sakamoto is thrown out the building, with Kumanomi remarking that he will not go down that easily but Torres, who has fought Sakamoto frequently more recently, wonders why he has chosen not to fight back.

Uzuki wonders if Sakamoto came here to talk or because of Rion’s personality inside Uzuki.

Sakamoto admits that when he spoke to the Rion personality, he was happy for a second but then he realized that Rion would never approve of Uzuki’s reckless violence and that the Rion personality is merely a fantasy Uzuki made up.

Sakamoto tells Uzuki that if Rion is alive today, Uzuki would be dead, which makes Uzuki mad.

Editor’s note: “Their lives crash together on the edge of death!”

Sakamoto Days Chapter 219 wll be released on June 30, 2025.
