Sakamoto Days Volume 22 First Look
X’s Organization most unhinged member takes center stage in the latest Sakamoto Days volume cover.
On May 21, 2025, we get our first look at the cover for Volume 22, which features Tenyku, a member of X’s Organization and Al-Kamar orphan that is imprisoned in the JAA Jail and acts as the arc’s main antagonist.
The volume is set for release on June 4, 2025 and will cover Days 191: “Out of Luck” to Days 200: “Bubbles”, meaning the first half features Shin Asakura’s brutal fight against Tenkyu and the second half features his backstory with Sakamoto as he meets his biological father, Tasuko Ando.
Additionally, a comment by Hideaki Sorachi, author of Gintama, will be featured, alongside an original illustration by Sakamoto Days author, Yuto Suzuki, showing the Sakamoto Store gang wearing the outfits of the Gintama main Yorozuya Trio.
It is fitting that Taro Sakamoto is voiced by Tomokazu Sugita, the voice actor for Gintoki, the protagonist of Gintama.
